Who's more trustworthy?
He who doesn't do what he said he would,
or he who does what he said he wouldn't?
If our promise and words are like seeds,
should we speak what we don't mean?

When a request is made
but never fulfilled,
though a field be plowed
and earth be tilled,
if the seed is in
their pocket still,
we will never see
our goals fulfill..

Will they ever know
or consider the loss,
when at harvest
on the table they toss,
the very same seed
worth less than they owe,
presenting no crop
for they did not sow..

To make a promise
you won't fulfill,
be it for sloth
or lack of skill,
open your mouth
and let someone know,
give back the seed
so they can sow.
