A man’s purpose

A man without purpose
may keep humming along,
but a man without vision
cannot find a song..

A man lost on his way
can find a new path,
but a man stuck in his ways
comes to hatred and wrath..

A man ruled by the law

holds cords that can bind,

but a man who's found grace

is forgiving and kind..

A man who is wise

heeds another’s advice,

but a man who shuns wisdom

never values it’s price..

A man may find value

in what he has done,

but a man who’s found love

won’t trade it for none..

A man may give all

to save his own soul,

but a man who gives love

finds life’s purpose and goal..

A man with this purpose

will keep humming along,

and a heart with such vision

always finds a new song..
