They met
God only knows how,
one spark and a flame
on a warm autumn's night
Exclusive hearts
no other could find,
faith, hope, and love
their foundation divine
Elusive love
a captive heart cries,
behind locks and chains
and a wall built so high
Storm clouds
enveloped the sky,
with fear and great pain
these two hearts would deny
Through faith
overcome they did try,
yet the word and the shame
gave such a poisonous bite
Hearts bleed
as in darkness they trod,
there’s no spark or a flame
to bring a light to their road
Two hearts
separated by lies,
faith, hope, and love
have been lost in the night
